We are happy to state, that part of the master-manufacturers have agreed to give
8s., 9s., and 10s. per cut of ginghams, 11, 12, and 13ths, instead of the late
prices, averaging about 1s. advance on the cut. All the workmen are actively
employed in finishing the webs which they had begun previously to the turn-out,
thus manifesting their entire obedience to the law, though it is understood that
they have expressed their determination not to continue in the employment of
those who refuse the advance, after the present work is finished." - Carlisle
Journal.
