At the late Devonshire Quarter Sessions, Eliza BEECHAMP, alias Elizabeth GRAVES,
who some time ago raised contributions at Bath and other places, by pretending
to commit acts of suicide, was tried for being an incorrigible rogue, convicted,
and sentenced to six months imprisonment. She confessed that she was the
daughter of Joseph GRAVES, a butcher, at Carlisle; that she had left that place
at thirteen years of age, and had not since gained a legal settlement.
