The Times, Tuesday, Aug 14, 1810; pg. 3; Issue 8060; col C Tuesday week a body of wind took a direction up the river Ellen, Maryport, Cumberland, and forced the water from its bed in a perpendicular direction to the height of twenty feet or more, and had an electrical effect on some that beheld the phenomenon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
