SPORTING INTELLIGENCE. (continued) GORHAMBURY MEETING. Tuesday, May 14. - The Craven stakes of 10 sovs each, with twenty added from the fund, were won by Lord E. RUSSELL's Nat, beating Mr PHILLIMORE's ro f Physalis, Duke of RUTLAND's b c Hyrcanian, and Mr CAFFIL's b f Gaiety. Produce Match for fifty sovs, was won by Mr T. THEOBALD's br f Chemise. The Gohambury Handicap Stakes of twenty-five sovs each, fifteen forfeit, and only five if declared, &c., with fifty sovs added from the fund, for all ages, Lord George BENTINCK's b c The Devil to Pay won, beating Duke of GRAFTON's b c Cataract, Lord VERULAM's br h Robert de Gorham, Duke of RUTLAND's b c Hyrcanian, Lord CHESTERFIELD's br g the Artful Dodger, Lord CALEDON na. br c Auld Lang Syne, Captain MARTYN's b h Emilian, Mr FOWLER's b c Yardley, Mr PRESCOTT's b c Bosphorus, Mr WATSON's b c Antidote, and Mr T. WALTERS's br f Emilie. Wednesday. - The Pondyards Stakes of five sovs each, &c., were won by Mr WILSON's Hampton, beating Artful Dodger, Devil-among-the-Tailors, Utica, and two others. The Selling Stakes of ten sovs each, &c., were won by Mr BOOTH's Donnybrook, beating Repealer, Dart, Adrian, Miss Etty c., Sister to Ramadan and four others. The Park Stakes of ten sovs each, and one hundred added, for two-yr-olds, were won by Mr J. SADLER's Maid of Orleans, beating Bastion, Corinthian Tom, My Mary, Piccolina, Gazelle, Nereus, Mystery, Chemise, Lord EXETER's filly, and two others. ------------------------------------------- The Paisley races are fixed for the 22nd of August. The Royal Caledonian Hunt Meeting at Dumfries will commence on the 8th of October. EPSOM RACES. - The stewards of the ensuing races at Epsom have just received from Mr BRISCOE, the lord of the manor of Epsom, £450, in aid of the racing fund; this sum being three-fourths of the amount for which the ground has been let for booths and stands during the spring meeting. The remaining £150, we hear, will be devoted, by Mr BRISCOE, to charitable institutions connected with that part of the county of Surrey.
