The demand for old Irish butter continued pretty good, and a fair extent of business was transacted last week, at a slight improvement upon previous rates. Fine Dutch has advanced from 84s to 86s. In new Irish nothing doing yet. There has been rather more doing in Bacon, chiefly in stalish parcels, at a reduction of 1s to 2s per cwt. Prime fresh mild cured is held firmly; several of the manufacturers in Ireland have stopped killing, owing to the warm weather. Hams in good demand. Lard without change. |
