NEWCASTLE, SATURDAY, May 11. - We had a very moderate supply of wheat at the market this morning from the country, and being altogether without any arrivals coastwise, the whole met a very ready sale at an advance of full 1s per quarter on the rates of this day se'nnight. Foreign wheat was in more demand, at full prices. The arrivals noted below are going into warehouse under lock. Rye keeps a dull sale. The arrivals of barley from abroad are again considerable, and as sales are much pressed, prices have declined further 1s per quarter. Peas are in moderate request, but for beans there is no demand. Malt is a slow sale. The show of oats from the farmers to-day was small, and there being no arrivals from the coast, a clearance was early effected at an advance of 1s per quarter. Flour is in very limited supply, and prices have advanced 1s per sack. Arrivals here this week: - British, 125 qrs rye, and 70 sacks of flour.
