At a recent meeting of the Loughborough (Leicestershire) Agricultural Society, the subject of farm horses and their food occupied a good deal of attention; and we learn from the Leicester Journal that the following interesting and useful papers were submitted to the meeting by Mr. KILBY: - Calculation of the different kinds of food given in the following tables, reduced to the nutriment of Hay. The price of the articles and their value in hay at 2s 6d per cwt. Shewing what each horse would have cost per week, had it been fed entirely upon hay, instead of the food used. The above calculations are made from a table "On the comparative value of different kinds of fodder, by the Rev. W. RHAM," at page 78 of the first part of the third volume of the Royal Society's Journal. It was published in France by M.
