begs to announce his intention of OPENING A SCHOOL, as above, for the Board and Education of Young Gentlemen.
The situation is highly Salubrious and delightful, over looking the beautiful vale of the Caldrew; and it is now easily accessible (by the Maryport Railway) from Carlisle and Wigton.  The School will be opened on Monday, July 17th.

Strict attention will be paid to the health and domestic comfort, morals, and general demeanour of the pupils.
Cards of terms, with References of the highest respectability, may be had from Mr. Jefferson, or from Mr. Whitridge, Bookseller, Carlisle.

Terms: Twenty-six Guineas per Annum, and Half-a-Guinea entrance, (inclusive of Education, the French and Spanish Languages, and Drawing excepted, the former of which are severally charged Three Pounds, and the latter Two pounds per Annum.)

Vacation from June 20th to July 20th, Annually, charged to Students Resident at School, during the time of its continuance.  Two Guineas.

Wanted, a School-Master and Schoolmistress.  Salary for Master, £50 a year; ditto for Mistress, £21 a year.
The Mistress is only required to teach half the day.  Both Master and Mistress must be sound members of the Church of England, and of unexceptionable moral character.
