A very successful whist drive and dance was held in the aid of  the summer trip of the children of Waverton and Waverbridge day schools. Prizes  had been given by the Rev. W. TERRY, Mrs. WANNOP (3), Mrs. PEILE, Mrs. WATSON,  Mrs. GLENCROSS (2), Mrs. B. WILSON and Miss. WILSON. The prizes were won  by:

 The prizes were handed over by Mrs. WANNOP. Donations were given by  Mrs. WALLACE and Mr. GILBERTSON. Supper was given by parishioners  and  friends. The M. C. for whist was Mr. BUCHANAN, and for the dance Messrs. P.  WANNOP and J.
HODGSON, assisted by Messrs. GLENCROSS, T. PEILE and W. WATSON.
