Hensingham branch held its eleventh annual meeting in the  Wesleyan Church on Monday. At a faith tea in the Sunday School, the tables were presided over by Mesdames: -

The meeting was presided over by Miss. McGOWAN, (Sorbie). Mr. TAYLOR  opened with prayer and read the lesson. The Secretary, Mrs. J. J. TAYLOR, read  the report of activities during the year, and the treasurer, Mrs. KIRKBY, gave her financial statement which showed a credit balance of 6/11.

A solo was contributed by Mrs. J. KEIR, with Mr. E. SIMPSON at the organ. Mrs. LEWTHWAITE, of Egremont, gave recitals and a very fine address was  given by Miss. SPRY, Cleator Moor, on “Our responsibility to the  children.”

Sister Alice proposed a hearty vote of thanks to all who had contributed to the very successful meeting. Miss. ADAIR seconded.
