Very often the edges of lawns and grass paths are the places that are worn and untidy. If the turf is not frozen, this is a good time to tackle any repairs. Worn patches can also be attended to now, and the simplest way is to use turf lifted from a more secluded, less noticeable part of the garden. The places from which you have used the turf can then be forked over and raked to a fine tilth ready to be re-sown in April. |
