MARYPORT.-FRIDAY.

(Before R. RITSON, Esq., and J. ADDISON, Esq.)

A number of boys were cautioned for destroying turnips in fields in the
vicinity of Maryport.- James DIXON, mason, was fined 1l 2s including costs
or 14 days, for smashing a window at the Star Inn, on the 7 th inst.-John
BOOTH, a tramp, was sent to prison for a fortnight for obtaining a ticket
from the police for lodgings when he had money in his possession.

MARYPORT TRUSTEES - WEDNESDAY.


Major WOOD presided.-The Clerk declared the result of the elections.-The
usual statement of harbour receipts and expenditure showed-To wages, &c.,
£165 13s 4d; tradesman's accounts, payments on account of new dock. &c.,
£1882 15s 9d; total, £2048 9s 1d.   By tonnage dues, &c., £370 2s 10d; money
borrowed on mortgage, £2100; total, £2970 2s 10d.
