This Board met on Saturday, the Rev. O. JAMES presiding. The Clerk reported that there was only a balance in the treasurer's hands of £14 12s 10d to meet cheques which were required for £99 5s 9d.-The collector was instructed to collect the balance of rates due without delay. In reply to Mr. RICHARDSON, Mr. J.G. MILLICAN said the Grammar School Committee would hold a meeting shortly, when they would decide when the school should be examined. The report of the Visiting Committee was read. The interior of the Workhouse was in good order, but the yards, pigsties, and privies were not so cleanly as might be.-The master was directed to attend to these.-Mr. J.G. MILLICAN thought it would be better if the Clerk gave notice of the times of visiting to the guardians comprising the committee.-The Clerk expressed his willingness to do so. Mr. Adam WALTON gave notice that he would move at the next meeting that servants of the Board be not admitted to the meetings of the Board unless their presence be required.
