The Ann, B*******T captured by the Yankees, has been recaptured by the Jasscur S.W. and carried into Halifax on the 11th of November.

The Active, of Harrington, from Miramichi, with timber, was put on shore lately near Portnessick, Scotland, but has since been got off, much damaged.

A vessel, said to be the Eleanor, belonging to Maryport, was totally wrecked last week, near Ramsey;  Isle of Mannand it is feared all the people perished.

Market - Tomorrow will be the market day. -- There will be no market on Thursday.

BILLS OF MORTALITY - In the last year, at WORKINGTON, baptisms 296; burials 158;   marriages 55. HARRINGTON  baptisms 58,   burials 37, marriages 16.  CARLISLE, baptisms 422,     burials 365, Marriages 107. NEWCASTLE, baptisms 1268;   burials, 1164;    marriages 395.

At a meeting of the committee of the Maryport Branch Bible Society, £96 were advanced to the collector in donations and subscriptions.

TUESDAY, 11 JANUARY, 1814.

His Grace the ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY arrived at the Castle early in the morning, and he performed the baptismal ceremony, assisted by the REV. J. THRONTON, Chaplain to his Grace the DUKE OF RUTLAND, who made the responses. The religious ceremony was performed in the great gallery, whch formed in this instance, a part of the chapel, in the presence of the whole of the Nobles and Gentry who **** a visit to the Castle, amongst whom are the following:

THE PRINCE REGENT
THE DUKE OF YORK
ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY
EARL OF WESTMORLAND
LORD LOWTHER
LORD ROBERT MANNER
&c &c &c.

A discharge of 15 guns from the Castle announced the event.  The Noble party soon after sat down to dinner.

An American privateer was off Colonsa on the coast of Scotland on the 25th ult.

Wednesday the Royal Westmorland Militia, under the command of MAJOR TAYLOR, marched into Liverpool *********************.  The corps had a ******************************for extended service **************to turn out their quota of three & ******************.

The 1st West York militia, 1800 strong, have in toto, officers and men, volunteered for foreign service.

Monday se'ennight, 140 cartloads of coals were going to the poor house keepers in Brampton by ** **** of Carlisle;  and likewise a large quantity of oatmeal.

*******MCKENZIE and MRS. MCKENZIE his wife, are now living in Senhouse-street, Maryport whose **** ages make 180 years;  MR. **************,  his wife, 37.  They have lived in matrimonial connexion 67 years.  He followed a sea-faring life 66, as seaman, mate, and captain;  and has crossed the Atlantic 24 times.  He has not lost a tooth, can thread a small needle without spectacles, and speaks the Gaelic Language fluently. The above venerable couple are father and mother to MR. F. MCKENZIE, spirit- merchant, Maryport.

The Fog, in London, and its neighbourhood was more dense and oppressive on Thursday night than at any time since its commencement.

Wednesday se'ennight, CHRISTIAN SINCLAIR, from Orkney, lately condemned by the High Court of Justiciary, for poisoning a child, was executed at Edinburgh.  She denied the crime to the last.  She was nearly 60 years of age.
