WHITEHAVEN.

TO be SOLD in Public Sale, to the Highest Bidder, on   WEDNESDAY, the 12th
Day of January, 1814, at the House of JOHN MAWSON, the Sign of the Nag's
Head, in Nicholson's Alley,

The Good Brigantine, called the

D    E    F     E     N     C     E

(WILLIAM MOORE, Master)

With all her Materials as she now lies in Whitehaven Harbour;
Burthen per Register 100 Tons, and carries 63 Waggons of Coals,
and may be sent to Sea without any Expence.

Particulars may be known by applying to the Captain on Board.

***The Purchaser to pay a Deposit of Five per Cent. and the
Remainder of the Purchase Money at Two equal Payments, at
Three and Six Months, giving satisfactory Security before they depart the
Sale.

*ABELLA MARTINDALE, Lower End of Workington, on THURSDAY, the 13th Day of

All that good Brig, called the

(JOSEPH TICKLE, Master)

With all her Materials;  Burthen per Register 90 Tons;  carried 52 Waggons
of Coals
at 9-1/2 Feet Water;  sails and takes the Ground well, and may be sent to
Sea without
any Expence.

The Purchaser to pay a Deposit of 5 l. per Cent. and the Remainder by Two
equal Payments
at Three and Six Months, giving satisfactory Security for the same.

Inventories to be seen at the usual Places;  and further Particulars may be
had by applying to MR. JOSEPH TICKLE, Jun. Workington.

in Sails, Cables, &c. and wants only Provisions to Proceed on any Voyage.

Burthen per Register 152 Tons;  Chester built;  carries a large Cargo, and
is well found in the principal Materials of Sails, Cables, &c.
