His Honour Judge STEAVENSON heard an  application at the Wigton County Court on Monday by Mr. G. A. LIGHTFOOT,  solicitor, Carlisle, appearing on behalf of the Ocean Accident and Guarantee  Corporation, London, for the recovery
of £55 10s 9d from J. ARMSTRONG, insurance  agent, North House, Allonby. The case has been heard at the High Court of the  King's Bench Division on December 23rd, 1902, when judgment was obtained by the  insurance company against
defendant for £65 10s 9d., which was now due.

Mr. LIGHTFOOT said defendant lived at  Allonby. He did not work, so he presumed that he lived on his means. He was  employed by the plaintiff insurance company as their agent, and the claim for  which the judgment was obtained at the High Court was for premiums collected as  agent for the company and not handed over.

A letter was read from the defendant in  which he said his income of £40 per annum was not available until July, 1904. He  asked for an adjournment in view of an arrangement.

Mr. LIGHTFOOT applied for an order for  £2 per month. The original order, under which the defendant had paid nothing was  £5 per month.

His Honour made an order for £2 per  month.
