KENDAL AND WINDERMERE RAILWAY.

AT A SPECIAL MEETING of the PROPRIETORS of this Undertaking, held at the
Commercial Inn, in Kendal, on Tuesday, the 5th day of November, 1844,

EDWARD WILSON, Esq., F.G.S., of Abbot Hall, in the Chair,

It was moved by the CHAIRMAN, seconded by JAMES BRYANS, Esq., Bellfield,
Bowness, and

RESOLVED,  I.  That it is the opinion of this Meeting, in conformity with
the recommendation of MR. ERRINGTON, The Engineer;  that the Northern
Terminus of the Line should, and the same is hereby ordered, to be at
Birthwaite, near Bowness.

It was moved by CORNELIUS NICHOLSON, Esq., of Cowan Head, seconded by JOHN
HARRISON, Esq., of Hundhow, and

RESOLVED  II.  That the thanks of this Company be given to JOSEPH LOCKE,
Esq. F.R.S., the eminent Engineer, for his conduct in the preliminary
measures of the Undertaking.

MR. WILSON having left the Chair...........

It was moved by HORNRY ROUGHSEDGE, Esq., of Fox Ghyll, near Ambleside,
seconded by JOHN DAVY, Esq., M.D., F.R.S., and

RESOLVED  III.  That the cordial Thanks of this Meeting be presented to
EDWARD WILSON, Esquire, for his conduct in the Chair and general services to
the interests of the Company.
