Application was made on Tuesday to Justices RIDLEY and DARLING, sitting as a Divisional Court of the Queen's Bench, nominally on behalf of three members of the London School Board, but really in the interest of all the Board, for a rule nisi calling on the Auditor of the Board to show cause why a writ of certiorari should not issue removing into that Court certain surcharges and disallowances made by him, in order that they might be quashed.  The auditor had refused to pass certain expenditure in connection with the Science and Art Classes, in schools under the Board, on the ground that such teaching was not contemplated by the Elementary Education Act.  The Court granted the rule.
