07 February 1863 Accident at Crosthwaite near Keswick Print E-mail
An inquest was held at Crosthwaite near Keswick, on the body of a man, aged
28 years, named Benjamin Martin, who had been killed by a fall of earth on
the Browfoot cutting of the Cockermouth, Keswick, and Penrith Railway, now
making in the locality.
Verdict - " Accidental death."
