The Richard and Ann, WARD; and the Sally, M'COY, from Malta to London were taken on the 19th of January, by the Dubourdieu, French privateer. The privateer was lost in Bizzera Bay, eight days after. ** The Providence Increase, BARRYMAN from malta, was taken the 17th of January, retaken the 22nd, by the Minorca sloop of war, and returned to Malta on the 17th of February. ** The Rebecca, GAMELLERI. from Malta was taken in January by a French privateer, and carried into Monsteer (sp.?) ** The Hawker, PHILLIPS, from Liverpool to Jamacia, was stranded on the 15th inst. on the North Bank, near the entrance of the Wexford Harbour. ** The Washington of Philadephia, has been cut out of the Isle of May, by the mate and crew, and scuttled off St. Lucia. They have since been taken. ** The Friends, ROBINSON, of this port, is arrived at Cork, from Lisbon, after a passage of 18 days; all well. ** The Ship Fletcher, Capt. FLETCHER, from Liverpool, is arrived at St. Salvador, after a very quick passage of 32 days. ** ARRIVED: The Childham, STRICKLAND, from Liverpool at Jamacia, in 39 days. ** The Trelawney, COULTHARD, from Whitehaven at Cork. |
