Of a New, Improved, and Correct Edition Of the Rev. Matthew HENRY's FAMILY BIBLE Without Abridgement, Under the Revision and Care of the Rev. George BURDER Secretary to the Missionary Society; - and the Rev. Joseph HUGHES, A. M. One of the Secretary'e to the British and Foreign Bible Society; To which is added, the Life of the Author, by the Rev. Samuel PALMER, of Hackney, and many useful Tables and Plates. The Whole work may be bought at one time, or subscribers may, at their option, begin either with the Old or New Testament. A few copies on Royal Paper, fine ink, &c. in Boards, price 12s. each part. Mr. HENRY has written other Highly Excellent Works, which are collected into one handsome volume, and printed uniformly into the Family Bible; the Whole forming a most valuable Evangelical Library. Those who already possess the Commentary, may pruchase the other Works separately. The Labours of the Rev. George BURDER, and the Rev. Joseph HUGHES, M. A. have been chiefly employed in examining the refrences to Scripture; translating the Quotations from the learned Languages; arranging the paragraphs, and all figured divisions, in a more conspicious Manner; expressing in the headline the substance of the Page; and, where practicable, the Chronology; adjusting the Orthography and Punctuation to the modern standard; occasionally rectifying grammatical Inproprieties; and useful.
