Monday August 28
Glasgow

There was the smallest supply of cattle at market to-day than we have had this season, and all sold at a rise of 6d per stone.

Dumfries

The number of cattle shown to-day was about 700. During the early part of the market the holders of stock stood out for a little advance, with which intending purchasers were unwilling to comply, and very little business was done.

The cattle market was not so well supplied as last week, and there being a good demand, former rates were fully supported.
