Monday August 28 Glasgow There was the smallest supply of cattle at market to-day than we have had this season, and all sold at a rise of 6d per stone. Wednesday August 30 Dumfries The number of cattle shown to-day was about 700. During the early part of the market the holders of stock stood out for a little advance, with which intending purchasers were unwilling to comply, and very little business was done. Wednesday, August 30th Edinburgh The cattle market was not so well supplied as last week, and there being a good demand, former rates were fully supported. |
